ADER is the acronym for a group in Braffoueby, Cote D'Ivoire whose name translates roughly as the Association for Rural Development. They are a spirited group of action-oriented village leaders who look for every opportunity to improve the quality of life in their community. A lack of funding for their projects is the only thing that slowing them down.

Under their direction, the village women go to literacy classes and utilize that time together to discuss issues related to education and health. Among other achievements is their "Rice Project" which has been very successful in providing nourishment to village children and families. ADER also monitors the maintenance of latrines recently built with the help of the Peace Corps.

The Ivory Coast Mothers and Children will coordinate its goals with ADER, working closely in partnership to ensure success.

Q. Can I give in the name of a loved one?
A. Yes! Please give us the name of your family member or friend and we will send them an email that you have given a gift to the Ivory Coast Mothers and Children in their name. This step occurs when you are checking out with your credit card through our donation service, or when we receive your check in the mail. The village of Braffoueby thanks you and so will your friend!

Q. What percentage of my contribution will go toward the Ivory Coast Mothers and Children mission, including building the much needed health clinic?

A. Big or small, ALL contributions to the Ivory Coast Mothers and Children will help us get closer to our goal: strengthen this generation to welcome the next. ICMC has made a devoted effort to remain volunteer-only, with low overhead costs. It is our goal to make over 85% of your contributions count toward our mission. And, your donation is tax-deductible.

Q. What will my contribution pay for?

A. The Ivory Coast Mothers and Children organization has partnered with ADER, an organization in the African village of Braffoueby that is helping build a much needed health clinic for the surrounding impoverished region in the Ivory Coast. Our American-African efforts will create the supportive balance to sustain our mission.
